Harmony Transit
Overworld Roads
Definition:
A 'road' as valid transit option for this page must connect at least two distinct settlements; this includes builds by the same player as long as they are out of view from one another. It must also be constructed with some building material other than dirt, grass or sand variants.
Harmonic Highway
Community Project, first stretch from Jusnothertry to Jungle Dome constructed from July 28th to August 1st in 2020.
The route can be viewed here.
Aside from the proposed original connection, suggestions were made to extend the highway south around the entire map and add a connection to Spawn as well. As these parts may be constructed by various people, the general highway specifications are as follows.
Materials | A highway must be half-slabbed, with stairs on inclines. No full blocks on the road, this includes double slabs. Which slabs and stairs are used for this is up to the constructor of each stretch. |
Width | A highway must be 5 blocks wide (side to side of the slab road) on straight stretches and on all angles down to a 1:2 block ratio. On 1:1 ratio diagonals, it must be 6 blocks wide. |
Height | A highway should follow the terrain in gentle inclines so far as possible and thus have open skies. However, where covered by canopy or in tunnels, there must be 7 blocks free from the ceiling to the ground the slabs or stairs will be placed on. |
Lighting | A light source of at least 14 must be placed at least at every 10th X or Z coordinate (2240, 2250 …) depending on direction, on both sides of the road, directly adjacent to the road block. In case of hanging lights, it is the lamps, not their posts, that must be adjacent. |
Angles | A highway may not have turn angles above 45 degrees (that is going from straight to a 1:1 ratio diagonal) except on crossroads. Where a tighter bend is necessary in open terrain, a curve must be added to gentle the turn. |
Supports | A highway must be properly supported at cliffs and on bridges. This means there must be a 1-block pillar at least every 10th block, or a 2 block pillar every 20th, up to a 5 block pillar every 50th block. Supports may not be spaced farther apart than 50 blocks in either X or Z direction. |
Railing | At cliffsides and on bridges, a (wall or fence) railing must be placed on a full block directly adjacent to the outer road slabs from the point where the drop would be two blocks or more. |
Overworld Paths
Definition:
A 'path' as valid transit option for this page must connect at least two distinct settlements; this includes builds by the same player as long as they are out of view from one another. It is enough to visibly mark a trail as such on grass, dirt or grass variants.
- Blakk Gold Path — Unlit ridable grass path between Slavnograd and the gold and iron farm. Planned, trailblazed and firmed by BlakkCooper in July 2020.
- Mū Scenic Route — Partly lit non-ridable path from New Crossing to Jusnothertry and Bahía de Putas, as well as south and west to Mykali River, taking long winding scenic detours following the terrain. Planned and firmed by Austrocat in May 2020.
