->history of Oceania +=====Structure of Organization=====
-Where can order?  --- //[[Koentinius]] 2012/07/11 03:45//+If anyone would like to write or contribute to these books, please say so here.  I, v1adimirr, have been writing most of them so far but soon we'll be entering areas of history that I am no longer the major authority on, so I'll need help.  Please respond.

----+=====Format of Books=====
 +Always cite when possible.  Wiki is not a citable source, only in game books.  Feel free to just copy and paste wiki pages you think are important into in game book form, but please try and make it prose.
 +====First Page Format====
 +Chronicum Publicus de Imperium Alphis\\
 +Volume [Roman Numeral]\\
 +The Realm of Alpha\\
 +The Age of [Whatever] ([The version of mc the server was using]) [,Pt. Roman Numeral if applicable]\\

-Areas of research: +====Final Page Format====
- +Bibliography\\
-1. Timeline in memorial hall (best timeline available but could be improved, should be point from which we organize the histories)\\ +----\\
-2. Wiki material (flesh out the timeline, correct errors)\\ +* [title] - [author]\\
-3. Interviews with historical figures (use multiple sources to build a more objective view)\\ +* * [title] - [author]\\
-4. Archaeological research on old and current maps (valuable search for lost histories)\\ +* * * [title] - [author]\\
- +
-A set of volumes could comprise an age, and the collection of ages comprises the Histories. Volumes are organized in no way, they are necessary due to character limits in the books. The Histories should be held to something of an objective standard, and state factual events as they occurred. Separate histories covering the detailed history of specific nations or events, or analysis and commentary, could be created as supplements but should not be included in this project as part of the collection that make up the Histories +
- +
-What do you think? The first thing that would be useful is to copy everything from memorial hall in chronological order into one file. +
- +
-Any organizational issues? +
- +
-How will the contents of each age be organized, will there be an index or timeline at the beginning? How detailed will the infos be? +

 \\ \\
->archeological reseach\\ +**Example**\\
-oh dog this is so ebin\\ +Bibliography\\
-\\ +----\\
-What's the character limit for each book?\\ +*Mein Kraft vII – v1adimirr\\
-I agree, specific events warrant their own editions (June 14th riots and the implications, etc).  Can't wait.\\ +* *Mein Kraft vIII – v1adimirr\\
-Contents should be chronological obviously, but sub-sections of different ages don't necessarily have to be named, they can just be numbered..\\ +
--vlad+

-I would be glad to help with certain events  --- //[[greenkitten@rocketmail.com|green kitten]] 2012/07/14 21:11// +=====To Do List=====
- +  - **1.7 MAP**
-I believe the limit is 256 characters per page, 13 lines per page, 50 pages each book. The title is a 16 character limit so it needs to be kept short. Perhaps the subtitle including the age and volume number could be written into the 1st pageMaybe including an index. The last page is reserved for credits perhaps. +    CPIA II ptII
- +      - Will cover the Riots of June 14th and the establishment and proliferation of nation states Would be nice to have a Batt.x perspective from either K_Chris or Sikandar
-Yeah, the contents of different ages can just be named something like "The Histories: Age of X, Volume IV" for each volume. +    - CPIA III pt. I
- +      - Will cover the rise of Breshik and of the Kurwan Empire as well as the initial conflicts between the two.  The United Kingdom should be mentioned, preferably with Uxbridge and Shako's input.
-Everyone may help. If you have nothing to contribute due to newness you can always do archaeological research. I'd like for research to begin before the update is released, so that we can put out quality productIt could be a server project+    CPIA III pt. II
- +      Will cover the latter wars with Breshik and the rest of the server, including Batt.x and Kurwan Empire teaming up and the coup of the AN.  Shako's perspective will be very helpful
-Also while have a lot of books in storage now would be a good time to mass produce them and bookshelves as theya re more expensive next update. Battx can provide feathers and books for the project, but we have very few ink sacs. +    - CPIA IV
- +      - Will cover the lethargy that occurred with the announcement of the 1.8 map
- --- //[[people:Sikandar]] 2012/07/14 21:43// +  - **1.8 MAP**
-\\ +    - Need to outsource to other authors
-So that's about five double spaced pages in word per book.  That's a fucking lot We're going to have to decide how much we want to include per book--  We could just write until we fill up a book or (I vote) we divide up the server's history and then just write as much as we can on each section and if we don't fill up a book or if we use 5 bookssuch cases.\\ +  - **1.1 MAP**
-\\ +    Need to outsource to other authors
-We could set up a dropbox account if we want to be serious about this and upload word documents there and we can get some monk to just transcribe them in game.  We also need to decide exactly how we want to divide up the the timeline and the format we want to write in, like Sik said.\\ +
-\\ +
-I suggest something along the lines of the following:\\ +
-**Title\\ +
-Volume\\ +
-Map\\ +
-Age\\ +
-Part (if applicable)**\\ +
-\\ +
-Example:\\ +
-**The Unabridged History of [what the shit is the name of this server?]\\ +
-Volume XI\\ +
-Oceania\\ +
-The Age of Renaissance\\ +
-Part II**\\ +
-\\ +
-Perhaps special events could warrant their own volume or perhaps a seperate, unaffiliated book and that book could be cited?  Let me know what you guys think.  --vlad+
