While the complain itself is understandable, i don't think it counts as “Mod abuse”.
Just make it so that Venom doesn't let his prejudice get in the way of his mod duties anymore, then carry on.
Also, we really need that rulebook overhaul. You've got a point on that, atleast. — Ranshiin, a.k.a Ralxtew 2013/02/05 01:33

5) Even if there was such a rule, it would have had to specify what is defined as "spawn" and how large the neutral\\ "area" is, furthermore what "neutral" even means.\\

[“neutrality” of spawn comes from late 1.7, when former Council of Kurwa (Rosenmann and v1adimirr) decided that such “public” places like spawns (such as Perkele or Berndtown) are neutral, so they can't be claimed as a territory of any nation, empire, settlement and so on. There were never any rules about fighting on public grounds.

[Mods have absolute duty to prosecute]

Why would you persecute things that dont even bother other people? Law isnt made to exist and be absolute, it has the purpose of settling disputes. If there are no disputes there is no need for law. Thus its pointless to persecute such things unless there is a considerable public interest. t. areteee 05/02/13

The law is there to protect everyone, even those who can't speak for themselves. There's also further public interest in this case since the actions it pertains to could, if unchecked, lead to anxiety among the general population. I will revert your change since it's painfully obvious that I was right, and I would like to remind you that it's a central feature of wikis that people who know better can correct the pages.

The law is also to protect the weaker (the players) against the powerful (the mods). Wrongful persecution should be compensated. t. mazznoff

Wrong. The law is to protect weaker (the non-aggressive players) against the powerful (aggressive players). Prosecution is in the hands of mods (the mods). Wrongful prosecution should be compensated. t. mr. Rosenmann, Doctor Of Law

The law (being based on common sense) is there to protect players from other players - that's why areteee got banned. His gratuitous and very formal complaint causes more problems than it solves. — Enton 2013/02/05 13:22

Why would you persecute things that dont even bother other people?

Just because I didn't run whining to the mods screaming “ban him! ban him!” does not mean I appreciate suddenly being shot at spawn while I'm giving a fellow player some bread. I was satisfied to see justice enforced, such behaviour discouraged, and the server to be a safe place to play—all of which can be considered public interests. t. P_P_A
