I support English as the main server language and told the Poles to speak English, since even underage Finns try to. Also, I don't want the Poles to disturb English chat discussions if there are any, since this server is not Karagrad. I understand some of your points, but your butthurt appears to be forced and exaggerated, so it's definitely not a casus belli.
I want to add that the colony near Finngolia is a result of venomthrope's constant provocation, who just enjoys bullying the new players instead trying to calm down the entire situation. There are several players contesting the Finngolian land claims in the Sea of Florina, since the claims are too extensive and the border posts were made with mod powers. — Enton 2013/02/28 03:21

I would agree that it was not really a valid cause for casus belli, but as a mod you should have stepped in and let them know to tone it down. I personally don't mind it from time to time, but it gets excessive. Perhaps people are complaining too much though. Are they aware that we have a server teamspeak? All the stuff with finngolia is largely irrelevant to this war. They clearly have the numbers so they are either a nation, in which case they must agree to certain guidelines, including war, or they are not, which would not be in their interests, as you have mentioned.
I was on the server today during what must have been Polish power hour and it was indeed intrusive and disruptive. I had to scroll up to find who I was talking to at times. This alone is not an issue as a lively and active chat is a sign of a healthy server. The issue is that 90% of that chat was in a language that most people on the server don't understand. This is unacceptable as far as server law is concerned. I don't want to force them not to speak to eachother- on the contrary. They are more than welcome to speak in English or, as Sikandar says, use the teamspeak or irc channels that have been provided. Spamming the chat with Polish, however, is a legitimate problem and, in my opinion, can be justification for a conflict. This justification can easily be removed, however, if the Poles take advantage of the many opportunities available to them. Blood need not be shed. — Arbiter 2013/02/28 03:31

Many players seem to think so, indeed, and your description of the current situation is rather accurate. And yes, I've probably been too inconsequent, not having reprimanded the players who violated it repeatedly. Most of them seem to be able to speak English on a decent level. That's what's sort of annoying is that most if not all of them can speak english, it's just not easy for them. I'm sympathetic to this, however we have other options like IRC and TS that let them speak their native language also. In my mind this war isn't really a war but just a wake up call for them to make up their minds to either speak English in chat or to use another medium for speaking Polish.
