Land Run

A land run is a phenomenon that has repeatedly occurred within the game when new nations claim large swaths of land they have no way of filling out, sometimes simply in order to ensure others won't be able to claim it. Examples include Breshik (Nnotorious for land running. Rumoured to have a standing order for members to invite friends to claim land so Kurwa can't expand), Lakota,* Ijs Island(possibly a parody of other land runs), and Westward Isles. Recent examples of landruns are Montequercus, whose ruler Yugotexas claimed a whole continent without even playing; and New Finngolia, having laid claim to half an ocean and dozens of islands therein.
