On the 15th October, King Shakomatic of the Kingdom of Breshik laid claim to the neutral island of Siverny with the intent of turning it into an Oblast of the Apostolic Kingdom of Breshik. While King P_P_A I of Kriegstein and his recently resurrected Maréchal Sidmarcus had discussed an accession of Siverny to the Commonwealth (on their own terms) before, the sudden seizure of the island by the Kingdom of Breshik outraged P_P_A.

The militia of Siverny will await the Breshikan invaders should they dare to put boots on the ground, and is prepared to repel them with force, unless King Shakomatic immediately rescinds his claim to the island.

As declared, the Republic of Ender had provided the parties means to resolve the situation peacefully which were outright refused. The Commonwealth, while claiming that the breaches were a mistake, proceeded to lay claim to Kriegstein overtly. PPA proclaimed that he wished for the Republic of Ender to perform “mental gymnastics” with these breaches. The Republic said that both Breshikan actions in the region and the violations of the Treaty of Castile oblige it to serve its foreign policy interests in the region. Additionally, the President and Speaker have said that the monarchy of Kriegstein's actions and violations have proven it a party that is not worthy of trust as it is not acting in good faith and this establishment must be abolished in order to set the framework for republican governance in Kriegstein under the Chief Justiciar of the Republic of Ender. According to EternalZohne, “Both the monarchies of Breshik and Kriegstein have committed misdeeds against the Enderian people and must be brought to justice. The failed monarchies of Breshik and Kriegstein are a testament to their ineptitude and symbols of tyranny. We act not only for the Enderian people, but the peoples of Belltower, Nova Etruria, and elsewhere.”
