Nedermark is a cold, flat and rather rainy/snowy nation inhabited only by the hardiest of warriors and their bicycles. The areas it encompasses are rather much like the people within it. Freezing cold in both ends but warm and caring in the middle. The inhabitants deeply value cosiness and will fight to the death defending their rights to have a good time.

Founded on the 10th of Feburary by Waffenbaum, Kankersteen and Blue_On_Blue, the Constitutional Monarchy of Nedermark started out with only the Viking Colony of Danevirke, the pet project of Waffenbaum and his super cool cousin Roman Blue_On_Blue. Kankersteen arrived soon after and took a liking to the senic dragon houses and many fearsome longboats the longboat anchored in the bay of the settlement.

It was suggested that since Waffenbaum was a Dane, and Kankersteen a Nederlander, they would together form the perfect union needed to create a utopia of cosy feels, legalized marijuana and sensible shoes. The pair went hard to work at building as more people slowly began to trickle in, lured by the prospects of speaking one of two languages that might make your throat hurt while getting massive blowjobs from blond, blue-eyed valkyrie gf's.

Nedermark flourished, many new settlers came and contributed to the ever-growing city of Amsterhavn, the Nedermarker worked hard to get much-needed clay from the marsches, cobblestone and other minerals that make up the city. Major structures every Nedermarker can be proud off were built, a cathedral, parliament the great tree and many more, stores opened along the canals and a great fort that can withstand any siege.

When minecraft updated, many would automaticly update it, the server using an older version, many Nedermarkers found themselves unable to log in, this marked the beginning of Nedermark's decay, activiy dwindled and life came to a standstill in Amsterhavn. After a while 2 months or so, the server was updated at last. Kankersteen came online to find the Nedermarkers in diaspora, some were not aware that the server was updated, or moved away.

Now that Waffenbaum has returned along with a dozen homeless nazis, life has returned to Amsterhavn and with it several buildings have already been completed. All Nedermarkers are urged to return for warm buns and hot cocoa.

Several buildings have been started, and some even finished. Danevirke now has its own mystic stone circle (localized neatly in the middle of town), a bountiful and extremely dangerous mine, two longhouses and a fishing hut, a raiding-class war-longboat and an imperial assload of snow everywhere. Everywhere.

Some of the currently ongoing projects also found within Danevirke are the building of the great tree Yggdrasil (which also houses the settlement nether-portal), a rather extensive animal husbandry collection headed up by mcsam, and all other manners of hitherto undisclosed tomfoolery.

A large amount of windmills and poppy fields are currently being planned by those who gives a rats ass. Adhering to the national motto; “We'll get it done, eventually.”

Bibubachako spent a great deal of time filling up the Amsterhavn / Købandam canals with water, for which everyone is grateful.

Shortly after being named Jarl, Jarl Kankersteen is currently carefully scheming the creation of Nedermark's capital Amsterhaven, He devided the project into 4 phases.

• Phase 1: Terraforming the hold into a flat shape that can support a city, and dig canals [90% Complete]
• Phase 2: Laying the foundations by creeating a good infrastructure throughout the city [80% Complete]
• Phase 3: Assigning and deviding of zones and lots [70% Complete]
• Phase 4: The building phase, buildings shall be built in a Dutch and/or Danish style, details will be disclosed when the Jarl is arsed to do so [Building Phase Started]

No current political line has been announced, although the inhabitants have embraced both socialism and capitalism at once. Hence, they appear open towards all other current nations in regards to treaties and alliances. As the lands themselves sports only a very small number of armed forces (which are either stoned or too tired from sex to do battle), conflicts are usually solved by ignoring the offending nation until it collapses on itself due to shitty leadership.

West Rhodes has established an embassy and relations between both nations are generally warm.

While Nedermark is officially a Constitutional Monarchy, said monarchy has not been seen or heard from for years, leading some to question whether they still exist (and others to question of they ever existed to begin with). In reality, Nedermark is a republic, thought as its inhabitants are aggressively opposed to change, it has stayed a constitutional monarchy in name for the sake of tradition.

Politically, Nedermark is ruled by five Jarls, one governing each of the five parts of the land itself. Each is known by their title, such as “Jarl of Danevirke” during official meetings, which take place in Købendam / Amsterhavn's version of the parliament, the Ting. Different from most parliaments, heavy drinking is encouraged and most disputes are settled first by intelligent discussion, seconly by massive brawling among the participants. Currently, two of the five seats in the Ting are unoccupied. The ruler of Købendam / Amsterhavn has a double vote in all matters, ensuring that most decisions are made for the benefit of all areas of Nedermark.

Overseas colonies are ruled by a governor whom, due to the often substancial distance from the capitol, is not permitted to vote on mainland Nedermark affairs. The governors does however retain full autonomy of their own islands, while under the flag and protection of Nedermark.

Nedermark is comprised of six major areas

• The capital area, known as either Købendam or Amsterhavn, depending on who you talk to
• The Viking Colony of Danevirke
• The utterly depressing swamps of Nedermarsk
• The small, wolf-infested no-man's land known as Fietsbugten, which houses Nedermarks only maximum security luxury prison
• The other freezing snow biome, Koldfront, which is home to the star-fort named; “Fort Frost”.
• The desert of Tolerantia, the future site of the Nedermark Kebab Containment Center (NKCC) codenamed “New Londonabad”

Being a filthy colonist nation, Nedermark also has the following overseas settlements which are ruled by the local Governors

• The far-off fortress on the plantation island of Sternø
• The even further-off island fortress of New Nelson
• The extremely distant island of St. Martin

In addition to these areas, there are also two smaller named islands. The larger and habitable of the two, Bosch Island and the oblong strip of sand unsuited for human colonization; Christiansø.

Each area has its own Jarl (and each island its governor), who oversees and governs the building on/terraforming of said area to the best of his (or her) ability.

The Nedermark economy is based heavily on the raw materials grown and produced in the five areas. Danevirke and Koldfront both supply a limitless amount of lumber, Købendam / Amsterhavn's rolling plains and plentiful grass areas feeds countless livestock for leather vests, milk, and most importantly bacon, the national dish of Nedermark. Fietsbugten produces an especially aggressive breed of wolf, which is priced among Nederlanders as pets, while Nedermarsk produces jack shit and is fiercely proud of this fact.

• 1. Griefing and attacking other Nedermarkers or citizens of any other nation will be punished with a removal from the premises.
• 2. If you wish to settle in Nedermark, ask Waffenbaum, Kankersteen or Blue_On_Blue. Unless you're a douche, the answer is usually yes.
• 3. Build according to the style of the area you've chosen to live in. This means Viking houses in Danevirke, cajun-style swamp houses in Nedermarsk, innovative and captivating modern design and old-world charm in Købendam / Amsterhavn, frontier log-cabins and Soviet architecture in Koldfront and underground bunkers with ten feet of armored steel walls in Fietsbugten
• 4. Don't touch things that don't belong to you unless you ask first, or can later justify your desultory acts of vandalism
